Power and Glory

Pastor Lamberson takes us to Ephesians 3:20-21 to show us the power of God at work today, and glory that is His through Christ and the church. And remember, we are the church!

Before you listen to the message, we invite you to sing along with some of these songs and hymns that attest to that power, that glory, and to give our praise to God. Some are YouTube videos of newer songs by the original artists (and may be slightly different than how we sing them together), others hymns done locally. Either way, focus on the words as you sing along with your whole heart and voice – remembering that no one is with you but family… Sing to God!

Read God’s word aloud, from Psalm 119:73-80.

Your hands made me and formed me;
give me understanding to learn your commands.
May those who fear you rejoice when they see me,
for I have put my hope in your word.
I know, Lord, that your laws are righteous,
and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.
May your unfailing love be my comfort,
according to your promise to your servant.
Let your compassion come to me that I may live,
for your law is my delight.
May the arrogant be put to shame for wronging me without cause;
but I will meditate on your precepts.
May those who fear you turn to me,
those who understand your statutes.
May I wholeheartedly follow your decrees,
that I may not be put to shame.

There are two different ways to listen to today’s sermon. If you like the downloadable podcast style, that is available using the controls below, with the outline there for download as well. If you like the YouTube version with references displayed as used, that version is here. Either way, you need your Bible as you listen.

And then, as we close, remember these words from Jude 24-25:

To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy — to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
